I am attuned to both Angel and Usui Reiki. I often combine both forms of Reiki during a healing session. Angel Reiki is very much a heart centred form of healing where as Usui Reiki is a beautiful grounded form of healing. These different forms of reiki healings blend together to offer a complete treatment that not only keeps the body in balance but also gently helps to release any pain or fears that you may hold whilst being supported in a safe and nurturing environment.

What is Usui Reiki?

Reiki is the universal life energy, which is all around us. Rei represents the universal life force and Ki is brought through personal energy for the purpose of balance and healing.

Where did it originate?

Traditionally known as Usui Shiki Ryoho, Reiki was received and developed by Dr Mikao Usui, a Japanese scholar in the late nineteenth century.

Initiated by Mikao Usui, Chujiro Hayshi was one of the first masters and opened a healing centre in Tokyo in the early 1900's, where he trained many practitioners including Hawayo Takata.

Mrs Takata, a first generation Japanese-American woman who came to his clinic for a treatment in the early 1930's, remained to study the practice of the Usui system and subsequently brought Reiki out of Japan to Hawaii before the Second World War. Mrs Takata once initiated as a Reiki Master, trained and initiated 22 masters.

What is Angel Reiki?

Angel Reiki invites in the loving and lighter realms of Angels and Ascended Masters to help us soothe the body, mind and soul. It works on the body's 8 chakras or spiritual energy centres throughout the body.

What does a Angel Reiki/Usui Reiki treatment involve?

You will receive a five minute consultation prior to receiving the Reiki treatment to assess your needs. You may be asked to remove any jewellery that may restrict the healing and then be asked to lie on the practitioner couch, fully clothed. Hands are then lightly placed on your body in various positions. In cases, such as bruises, tender spots or burns the hands will be placed over but not on the patients body.

How long does a treatment take?

Treatments take one hour for adults and 30 minutes for babies and children.
